President’s Message
Welcome to the Biorisk Association of Singapore’s website. Lately, biosafety and biosecurity (biorisk) have caught more attention worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From the important lessons learnt from this pandemic, we need to be more coordinated and prepared to ensure that we are ready to face another pandemic in future if something similar happens.
As a non-profit organisation, BAS collaborate with regulatory agencies, national and international organizations to further enhance the biorisk awareness among public, biorisk professionals, scientists, and other laboratory personnel in various biomedical industries in Singapore. In the years ahead, BAS will continue to be the liaison with relevant stakeholders and by working together we would be able to continue these biorisk initiatives through regular trainings, workshops, and seminars.
