Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs) are vital work horses in biomedical laboratories. It is the primary means of containment for working safely with infectious biological agents. When used with proper practices and procedures, BSCs are designed to provide personnel and environmental protection.
In this webinar training, we will be discussing the critical roles of different laboratory professionals in the use of BSCs. Appropriate usage and maintenance of BSCs are critical in ensuring protection for our laboratory personnel and the environment from biohazardous materials and preventing undesired contamination of experiments while using the BSCs. This training will augment your knowledge on BSCs and how best to use and maintain it.
This training will be in line with World Health Organisation Laboratory Biosafety Manual 2020 (4th edition) and Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories CDC/NIH (6th edition).
This training will be appropriate for laboratory professionals, biosafety professionals, facility operations & maintenance personnel and biosafety cabinet certifiers.
